Our Impact

Serving with Dignity and Hope

Guided by Christ’s love, our mission is to combat food insecurity by ensuring equitable access to nutritious meals while fostering dignity and long-term hope. This mission came to life in a powerful way through our very first service project in April of 2026.

Just before Easter, a season of renewal and hope, we organized a non-perishable food distribution to support 50 families experiencing food insecurity in Addis Ababa. We carefully handpicked each food item to ensure cultural relevance, nutritional value, and sustenance and partnered with a local distributor to thoughtfully package and prepare the food bundle with care.

Each family of 4 to 5 individuals per household, mainly children, received approximately 15 kilograms of essential nutrition-rich staple foods, including barley flour (beso), grounded oats (atmit ihil), bulgur wheat (kinche), powdered chickpeas (shiro), and cooking oil, sufficient to sustain a household for about one month.

Understanding that dignity is just as important as provision, we thoughtfully designed the experience to honor each individual and family. Rather than delivering packages to homes, we invited participants to a central distribution location. This allowed families to receive their provisions in a way that preserved privacy, fostered community connection, and respected their sense of agency.

For many families, this support meant more than meals. It provided relief from the stress of food insecurity, allowing them to redirect limited resources toward other essential  needs. It also affirmed that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

As we distributed food during the Easter season, we were reminded that our work is not only about meeting physical needs but also about sharing hope. Through this initiative, we sought to reflect Christ’s compassion in action, bringing healing, encouragement, and a renewed sense of possibility to the families we served.

This first project marks just the beginning. We remain committed to expanding our reach, strengthening our impact, and continuing to serve with love, dignity, and purpose, empowering individuals and families toward long-term stability and hope.
